Studio notes

What to prepare before commissioning a website

A clear brief makes a better starting point.

Start with your business and audience

Describe what you do, who the website is for and what you want visitors to do next. If you already have a website, explain what needs to change and include its address.

Set the scope, budget and launch date

Estimate the number of pages and list the features you need, such as a shop, bookings, a blog or member accounts. Share your budget and ideal launch date so we can shape a realistic proposal.

Gather your content and design references

Bring your logo, brand colours, service information and approved photographs. Include at least two reference or competitor websites, with notes on what you like and dislike. Let us know what content is ready and what still needs to be created.

Agree on responsibility

Choose one project contact and decide who approves the work, supplies content and manages updates after launch. Your team should agree on one consolidated feedback list for each revision round.

Complete your website brief

Download the requirements form and work through it at your own pace. Skip anything that does not apply, and leave uncertain answers for our discovery conversation. Return the completed form and any supporting material to tino@rippedcanvas.com.

Save the PDF to your device before filling it in, then save your completed copy. You can also use the editable Word version.
